Cruise away with your new Swim Suit ~ Down East Basics Giveaway!

When Down East Basics contacted me to see if I would be interested in reviewing a swimsuit by them as well as giving one away, I was thrilled! The first step was to decide which one I wanted....

The Mediterranean Tank swimsuit? or maybe The Riviera Tank swimsuit?

It was a close call, but I finally decided on the adorable Sausalito Halter swimsuit. When I received it, I was so happy! The quality is fantastic, it fits great, and it looks adorable! I absolutely love it. One of my favorite things about Down East Basics is their wonderful quality - the swimsuit didn't change my views! The lining is great so if you decided to get one with white in it (maybe the riviera tank?) you should be OK, unlike with cheaper brands.

Plus - they are so adorable! One of my other favorite things about them is that they aren't skimpy like a lot of swim suits are.

Are you ready for a giveaway?

Maybe your going of on a big vacation to Hawaii, or on a cruise to Alaska, or maybe your just going to stay home and lounge by the pool. Either way, here is your chance to have an adorable new swim suit to enjoy it!

Owl Creek Designs {Sponsor Spotlight}

I have known Lyndsie and her sister, Caitlyn, for a long time. They are amazing horse riders and Lyndsie is wonderful at sewing! She started a business called "Owl Creek Designs" where she makes and sells beautiful show clothes. She sews showmanship outfits, English riding jackets, and Western Show shirts.

This is a youth shirt.

Her shirts are high quality and you can custom order one to suit your style! Here is a picture of my friend Brett and me at the county fair wearing the shirts that Lyndsie made us (I'm in purple and Brett's in the yellow shirt):

Lyndsie's shirts are definitely some of the best that I have seen! I've looked at the shirts at different stores and was amazed at how low quality they were compared to hers! Plus, you know your are getting an original shirt as she dosen't ever make the same shirt over!

Take a look at Lyndsie's shirts in her shop by clicking on her graphic!

Down East Basics ~ Spring Wardrobe Giveaway!!

http://www.downeastbasicsblog.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/downeast-catalog-21.jpg

If you read my blog often - you know that one of my favorite stores is Down East Basics. So when I was given the opportunity to review something from their spring line, I was excited! It was hard to choose what I wanted, however, I decided on the super cute Miss Slim Skinny Crop capris!

I always have the hardest time with capris, jeans, and shorts, fit wise. I am tall and slim, so they are usually to short, or to big in the waist. So I was a little bit nervous that these wouldn't fit me since I wasn't able to try them on before hand. However, I was super pleased when they arrived! They fit almost perfectly! I am especially happy with the quality, it sounds funny, but these capri's are so comfortable!

Capris are perfect for a Spring day - or even cool summer day - when the weather isn't hot, but isn't cool either. They are also perfect for when you need to look casual - but not to casual and its warm out. I wore these while I was volunteering at Applebees for a pancake breakfast event, where I was serving food. They were perfect!

Another great thing about Down East Basics is that it is so affordable! Usually, when you find clothes that are low prices, they are bad quality. However, Downeast Basics clothes are probably one of the best quality clothes that I have worn (I categorize them with stores like Anthropologie).

Here are a few other of my favorites from the Spring Line (click image to bring you to their pages):

This necklace is only $9.99!

Mama Mia Wedding

http://z.about.com/d/gogreece/1/0/m/d/2356_D021_04470r.jpg_rgb.jpg

One of my favorite movies is "Mama Mia." I love how sweet it is, the music, and of course - its location is Greece!

While I was watching it tonight for the second time, I realized what a gorgeous wedding that was put together. The dress is so stunning!! So, I did a little research and was designed by Ann Roth. Sadly, I also found that this dress isn't available to buy anywhere else, however, designers Claire Pettiebone and Alice Temperley both have somewhat similar dresses:

I also found this(if you click on the image, and then click on it again when it brings you to the new screen, you can zoom it in and see who it is sold from!):

Note: You can click on images to bring to their page!

Also, I'm sure that if you wanted a wedding dress even more similar to the one in Mama Mia, you could go to a talented dress designer!

I've been listening to the one Mama Mia song that comes on at the end of the song for this entire post now! Time to go upstairs before I get to sick of hearing the same song over 100 times!

What do you think of her wedding dress in Mama Mia? Would you like a Grecian Wedding?

Relaxing with Fraiche

After a wild, but super fun at that, Easter weekend with my family, everything is going back to normal. However, the aftermath is to feel a little bit tired from it all, which is why Fraiche is perfect!

When I first saw the Fraiche website, I fell in love! Their products are beautiful and are natural. So, I decided to contact Fraiche and see if they would be willing to do a review, and they agreed! I had the hardest time on deciding what to review, but I ended up choosing the Squeaky Clean soap, the Lemon Verbana soap, the Rose soap, a little bit of Green Meadow soap and a Dew Cactus Flower Bath Swizzle.

Using soaps from Fraiche is about 100% better than using the cheap store bought soap! I always am using the Squeaky Clean soap and it leaves my hands so soft and smell squeaky clean afterwards! I like that they have quite a few different options to choose from, there are scents that women would like, men would like (lemon verbana or the mint) and scents that both would like (usually the scents that men like, women also like, for soaps anyways!).

I am just so impressed with Fraiche and definitely suggest it to anyone! It would also make a perfect gift, as everyone loves to treat themselves to quality natural soap or bath fizzles!

A great option if you decide to give a gift from Fraiche are the trilogies, they come in a set of three and some examples are the Autumn set or the Holiday set. Fraiche also sells special gift sets, which are nice if you are looking to buy a more pricey gift!

Do you like to pamper yourself with spa products and soaps like Fraiche?
