On my Autumn Wish list - KWay meet Abercrombie and Fitch

Today is just a perfect fall day! It has been drizzling and has that crisp autumn feel in the air. I caught wind of some news that I'm pretty excited abut Kway - which is a popular company that sells raincoats that fold up nicely into a little bag, partnered up with Abercrombie and Fitch to create these gorgeous rain coats:

Let's just take a pause for a second and talk about Abercrombie and Fitch.  Have you been in there recently?  I just went in last week and was taken aback.  They have done major rebranding and I am IN LOVE with their new all american classic style.  For years, they continuously had the same styles of clothing - same colors, same everything, never anything very "new and fresh," but this trip to Abercrombie and Fitch was completely different for me.  No longer does everything have a bird on it (not even a tiny embroidered bird), and everything has a very fresh and trendy feel to it.  New colors, new prints, new styles.

Now back to the raincoats, I am pretty sure I fell more in love with them as I was uploading these photos!  Check out this little story that I found just so cute about how Kway raincoats came to be:

"On a rainy day in 1965 while in Paris, Leon-Claude Duhamel observed people rush by him insoaking wet clothes and on this day,  K-Way is born: a lightweight completely waterproofjacket folded in a small hip bag. Soon everyone begins to look to the practical jacket withenthusiasm, happy to leave the old umbrella at home.  A blend of timeless classic jackets, new seasonal styles and cutting-edge fabrics is what makes the  K-Way brand so unique. From simple zip-up windbreakers to upscale trenchcoats, anyone can find the perfect K-Way to look good and stay dry!"

Hey!  I want to know!  Leave a comment and let me know if you love them as much as I do!  A simple "love it" or "it's ok" comments are totally fine with me as well, just share your thoughts and let me hear your thoughts!

College Style Musts for under $100 + A $100 Kohls Gift Card Giveaway!!

Oh my goodness am I ever in love with this sweet little blue striped dress from Kohls!  It is perfection.  Here's my little list of why this dress qualifies as perfection:

1) It can be a summer or a winter dress
2)  The colors!  So…Design inspired!
3) Looks darling with a long knit cozy sweater
4) Super comfortable
5) Adjustable straps
6) Perfect length for us tall girls
7) Looks pretty with dainty necklaces or bracelets

So it definitely qualifies to become an addition to my wardrobe, which it did!  Plus, it was on sale for $43.99 at Kohls.  Not bad, not bad.

Kohls is amazing and sent me over a $100 gift card to give away to one of my gorgeous readers!  What outfit would you purchase if you won?!

In addition to this dress, I also purchased this gorgeous anchor bracelet from Kohls to go with it, to keep a little bit of summertime with me throughout the year.  I've worn it almost every day since and adore how dainty it is!  And it was only $9.80 ;) Dress and beautiful bracelet together = outfit for under $100!

Ivy League Back to College Must Haves

This post brought to you by Brita. All opinions are 100% mine.

This fall I am beginning my junior year of college as a transfer student at St. Thomas University in St. Paul Minnesota.  Deciding on St. Thomas was a major decision because I was really leaning towards going to college out of state, Colorado State University or Arizona State.  St Thomas offered me a better scholarship, and their business program is amazing, swaying me to attend this great University!

There are three weeks left before I move into my apartment and 4 before college starts!  I am still super nervous that I made the wrong choice on college (Minnesota winters? Get me out!), but I think in the end I will be happy!

In all seriousness though, college shopping is the best part about the month leading up to the first day!  I love starting the semester off in cute but classy end of summer styles.

I don't like to start the school year wearing the classic autumn staples.  Avoid the tights and boots a little bit longer and hold on to the last days of summer with pretty sundresses, light colors, and a sweet pair of Sperry tennis shoes! It will help you stand out the first few days of college (where it really counts!) and attract good attention!

Going back to my little Ivy League back to college shopping wish list, these are some of my favorite back to college must haves!

1)  I am in love with these Sperry tennis shoes.  I love that they aren't your "fad" Sperry's that every girl has, but rather something unique, versatile, easy to slip on and adorable with a cute dress, shorts, or pants.

2) I <3 a="" activities="" all="" and="" check.="" classes="" dates="" have="" hours="" in="" intramural="" keep="" must="" p="" planner="" study="" this="" those="" to="">

3)  This dress is the epitome of end of summer perfection.  Swoon.

4)  Lean in by Cheryl Sandberg is a must have for any college girl.  One of my favorites and SUCH an inspiration to defy gender roles (I promise it's not all raging feminist, as if that's a bad thing anyways)

5)  isn't he handsome?!  Yes please.

6)  Brita® water bottles.  A must have for me at college!  I need a water bottle with me all the time between running around from classes to ballet, to work, it is so important to have a water bottle that that is safe and BPA free!  I love the Brita® water bottles!   Also, fun fact, one of the reasons Ballerina's stay looking so young is because they drink so much water!  How's that for a good reason to drink like a fish and keep a water bottle with you all the time?!

Converse Meet Classy #Kohls101

I have this theory that it's always better to overdress than underdress.  Sometimes I get intimidated by the huge amount of people there are in this world, and I feel like standing out in what I wear will maybe help me stand out in someway in the crowds…no one wants to feel like a million in a million, but who doesn't want to feel like 1 in a million?

I love mixing classy fashions like this dress, with chunky bold necklaces and a pair of red converses.  Creating a "school of rock" look out of something that was intended to be "fancy and classy" ensures that I'll stand out and that no one else will be wearing the same thing.

I love shopping at Kohls for this type of outfit because they have such a huge selection and so many different brands, which makes it easy to pair different "genres" of clothing together.  For example, I can find a super classy dress (the black and white houndstooth one as shown in these photos!) and a crazy bold chunky black and crystal necklace (Vera Wang from Kohls).  Not possible at other stores but made possible by Kohls (haha!)!

What do you like to wear to "stand out?"  Let me know in the comments!  Also if you LOVE this outfit as much as I do, I'd love to hear your thoughts!

Disclosure:  Thanks to Kohls for providing me a gift card to pick out this amazing outfit!

Your Professor might not have Style but you Do…#Kohls101

One of my absolute favorite things about college is getting to dress up everyday in super cute outfits.  In the summertime, there is just no reason to look pretty everyday if all your doing is suntanning on the beach or riding the horsey!

I found this amazing outfit at Kohls for under $50.  Yeah that's right!  It looks straight from the runway and it was affordable despite my tight college budget!  Not bad!

The sweater shirt is amazingly soft and the skirt has just the right amount of "circle skirt" in it.  I paired it with a pair of blush pink ruffle socks and black mary jane shoes to create a very "doll" inspired look.

Heyyyy everyone, I would love to know!  Do you dress up for classes or do you stick with yoga pants?  Leave a comment to make my day!!

Discolsure:  Thanks to Kohls for letting me pick out this beautiful back to school outfit!  #kohls101

Answering the Call of the Gym - #kohls101

Eek!  For most people college starts today!  For us that are going to private colleges in Minnesota, we start next Wednesday!  I am moving into my apartment on Saturday and am starting to freak out a little bit!  Where has the summer gone?

One of the back to school musts for me was a supa fly (haha) outfit for running and in the gym (ok, yoga studio is more my alley than treadmills to be honest).  Kohls asked me to put together an outfit that had a color splash and this is what I came up with!

-Kohls Aztec printed tank (with hood!)
-Kohls Neon Pink bandeau
-Kohls zebra, neon pink gym shorts
-Kohls beige sweater

One of the trends from the runway I am loving right now is tucking the front of shirts into your bottoms.  I did that hear with this shirt because it was looser and I loved the look!  It makes it look casual and gives a "I just don't care, but yet I look put together" appearance!

My kitten loves to sneak into my photos in any way she can.  Snot pot.

Here's a little photo of the sweater I paired with this outfit for the chilly mornings and evenings that are starting to happen, signaling fall is here!

Are you signing up fro any gym like - sporty - classes this semester?!  I would love to know!  I'm thinking about doing Advanced Yoga but I'm just not sure I'll have time!

Disclosure: Thanks goes out to Kohls for letting me pick out this seriously chic gym ready outfit and share it with my readers!  #kohls101

Apartment packing list! Back to School! #kohls101

I am starting my Junior year of college at the University of St. Thomas on September 3rd, and will (hopefully) be moving into my apartment with one other girl that also goes to St. Thomas on September 1st!  I went to a community college for my first two years which saved me a ton of money in the long run, and I am SO happy that I chose to take that path!

However, it has been absolutely hectic around my house getting all packed up and figuring out what I all need in my apartment and for classes.  The one thing that was on my must have list was an ice cream scoop, which my Grandma just gifted to me the other day, I was pretty excited about that haha.

Kohls is amazing, and sent me a couple of awesome "dorm room" necessities, my two favorites were this "Be Awesome" pillow that not only goes with everything but is a great motto to live by!

They also sent me this amazing bath wrap which is the most beautiful chevron pattern!  It is coral, grey, and sea blue, all some of my favorite colors and actually the colors of my old blog design!  I am in love <3 p="">

Something I purchased from Kohls for my apartment to store all of my pajamas and sweaters in were these seriously amazing ombre containers from the Kohls dorm room section! I'm in love!

Yesterday I went on a little shopping spree at Kohls and found 4 amazing outfits for under $200 - super stylish and classy!  Check back next week for lots of back to school style inspiration!

Note: All products were sent to me from Kohls for the #kohls101 campaign, even so Kohls is a store that I love shopping at and everything I write about them comes straight from the heart!

Stone Fox Bride + Blush Pink and White Interiors

I think it would be so lovely to live in a chic little apartment or condo in Minneapolis or San Diego (polar opposites I know!), and if I were to pick a place, i wouldn't mind it looking like this.  The crazy thing, is that it's not a home, it's a bridal shop in New York City called…you guessed it "Stone Fox Bride."

What was your wedding dress shopping experience like?  Was it at a laid back, luxurious place like Stone Fox Bride? Or was it more simplistic?
