I was inspired. I was inspired by all of the blogger's that have made themselves their own jewelry inspired by expensive stores such as the lovely Anthropologie. Then one day, after seeing a Gap add that had a gorgeous ribbon necklace with lotsa beads on it, it dawned on me that today would be the day that I would purchase the materials to make myself a necklace that otherwise would have cost me $40+.
$7 later, I came up with the creation that you see above! And I love the results and am excited to make more in similar styles!!
Have you ever made your own jewelry inspired by the more pricey pieces from Anthropology or another store?

I love the necklace! What did you use to make it? It looks like ribbon and beads, is that all? So pretty!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I have never made my own jewelry, but would love to give it a shot! :)
ReplyDeleteYour neclace came out so pretty! I'm in the process of making jewelry for all my female family members. Been working with homemade polymer clay beads, and other pretty beads. Love it!

ReplyDeleteVery very pretty! I love doing knockoffs, with my own twist of course!
ReplyDeleteSo pretty! I need to know what you used too....
ReplyDeleteIt's lovely and so much better than one you bought because you can customize it to match your wardrobe and make one to match every outift for the retail price of one.
ReplyDeleteI have thought about making my own jewelry but have never tried it....I might just have to. Beautiful necklace.:) Following from MBC.
