Lighting is the Key

The lights in a house can transform a dull and dreary room into an exciting and bright atmosphere that is just begging for you to spend time in.

Some people are blessed with lots of natural lighting that can often be found in farmhouses. However, there is still night time where you need to shower your room with light that can't come from the outside!

This gorgeous bedroom has a lot of natural light. The whiteness of the room really lightens it, and the window by the bed is a huge help. However, at least for night time, this chandelier from CSN Lights store would be perfect.

In this next bedroom, it is much more modern and not so shabby chic. Because the walls are not white and are darker, you need more of a light source, and while because of the large window on the left side of the picture would let in a lot of light during a sunny day, it would most likely be rather dark in the room during cloudy days. Its good to keep your lighting similar to the atmosphere of your room, since this is a more modern room, we want more of a modern look to our lights.

This would be a great option to go in a room like this:

Lets look at one more type of room. This room for the more daring type of person with wild wallpaper in very different colors. You really have to have the right type of lighting to make this room work and not seem like everything is out of place. Because there is so much going on with the walls, you want a more simple light.

I can see a lamp like this one in this bedroom - one on either side of the bed. The black on the lamp kind of evens out the black on the walls , and the white will brighten it up. To make the room brighter, you could also add a black or white chandelier to soften the room up a bit and make it more surprising.

Whatever your bedroom type and needs of lights, the CSN store has hundreds of options, so it is likely that you will find what you are looking for!

  2. I love the first picture! And the shabby chandelier is adorable. Nothing beats natural light though. :) Thanks for reading my blog!

  4. Love that first picture! I agree with you, lighting is key. There is nothing I hate more than overhead lights, they are simply not allowed in my house! XO!

  5. I agree, lighting can make the difference in any given room. Although natural lighting is best, at night I love soft light that can be created with a simple string of lights or those little paper lamps. They are even better if you have an outdoor balcony to string lights around!
