{Create the Look Wednesday}

I'm on time with this post this week! Few, its been crazy, your lucky! Three weeks until the fair, which leaves me nervous as I still have loads of work to do before I'm ready!

For this week, I thought it would be fun to do a simple summer flowy look. Perfect for the days when you want to look nicer but not too fancy. It can also be dressed up, or down.

This look is simple to recreate.

Dress: Find a pattern from a craft store (Joanns, etc) that has a pleated top. After finished, you can add a piece of a vintage sheet or tablecloth found at a yardsale. Add a ruffle t the bottom of the dress for a finishing touch!

Necklace: Crochet little daisy's using this pattern and attach to a simple chain stitch necklace base.

Enjoy!

Lighting is the Key

The lights in a house can transform a dull and dreary room into an exciting and bright atmosphere that is just begging for you to spend time in.

Some people are blessed with lots of natural lighting that can often be found in farmhouses. However, there is still night time where you need to shower your room with light that can't come from the outside!

This gorgeous bedroom has a lot of natural light. The whiteness of the room really lightens it, and the window by the bed is a huge help. However, at least for night time, this chandelier from CSN Lights store would be perfect.

In this next bedroom, it is much more modern and not so shabby chic. Because the walls are not white and are darker, you need more of a light source, and while because of the large window on the left side of the picture would let in a lot of light during a sunny day, it would most likely be rather dark in the room during cloudy days. Its good to keep your lighting similar to the atmosphere of your room, since this is a more modern room, we want more of a modern look to our lights.

This would be a great option to go in a room like this:

Lets look at one more type of room. This room for the more daring type of person with wild wallpaper in very different colors. You really have to have the right type of lighting to make this room work and not seem like everything is out of place. Because there is so much going on with the walls, you want a more simple light.

I can see a lamp like this one in this bedroom - one on either side of the bed. The black on the lamp kind of evens out the black on the walls , and the white will brighten it up. To make the room brighter, you could also add a black or white chandelier to soften the room up a bit and make it more surprising.

Whatever your bedroom type and needs of lights, the CSN store has hundreds of options, so it is likely that you will find what you are looking for!

When Music describes you in words you can't say

Isn't it amazing how one song can completely describe how you feel? It can let out the emotions that you were to afraid to say. Finding the right music can make you feel lighter, like you let a heavy load off of you. If your happy, you can find happy music, if your sad, its not difficult to find a song that fits your situation, and any other feelings - there is music for it somewhere.

What songs currently fit your mood?

Summer Breeze {Create the Look Wednesday}

I'm sorry that I'm not posting this until today, I was gone volunteering at a Safety Camp event on Wednesday so I wasn't able to post it then. I have not an excuse for not posting it yesterday, but I didn't! So here is Create the Look Wednesday .... on Friday!

I was inspired by a light Summer Breeze on the beach for this look.

Sun Flare

Source

SunFlare

Horse camp was last Saturday, it was loads of fun and it was hot, but not sunny, perfect so we don't get sunburns!

One of the neat things they did at horse camp was to take our "professional" pictures of us with our horses. I commented later about how well they turned out with the light being so bad, and I started thinking about how I find it better to shoot on cloudier days, but how I LOVE when there is that gorgeous afternoon glow and you can get a nice sun flare in your picture.

Does sun flare draw you in? Are there any different photography types that you really like?
