AutumnTravels Part 1 of 2 ~ Missouri

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Hiltons of Branson. All opinions are 100% mine.

Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel, MO - Hotel Exterior
Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel

In the summertime, my family and I don't do a lot of traveling, we like to enjoy the warm weather of MN and save traveling for the fall and winter, when it starts to get cooler out and you want to escape to somewhere warmer! Taking a trip in the fall is perfect for a week of off school to relax and have some fun!

Missouri might not be much warmer than Minnesota, but it is so much fun to escape, stay in a luxurious hotel, such as Hilton Branson or Hilton, and explore the many attractions in and around the hotels!

For people who love to shop, you will want to visit the Tanger Outlets which are only 3 miles away from the Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing and Branson, or if you like to golf there is a huge Branson gulf course.

When I've been in Missouri, it was just to pass through on the way to other states, but I would love to stop and enjoy it more because of the many attractions that you can enjoy!

Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing, MO Hotel - Suite Living Area
If you decide to stay at the Hilton Promenade you can choose from guest rooms, suites, or accessible rooms. All are great options that are kept up and beautiful!

Hilton Branson Convention Center Hotel, MO - Deluxe King
At the Branson Convention center, you can choose to stay in the same types of rooms as at the Hilton. They also have a pool, fishing, and a fitness room for your enjoyment!

Here is an example of a day well spent in Branson Missouri:

9:00: Wake up
9:30: Eat a delicious breakfast
10:00 - 12:00: Have a great time shopping at the Tanger Outlets
12:00: come back and eat a equally delicious lunch
1:00 - 3:00: Have fun swimming in the pool
3:00 - 7:00: Go golfing!
7:00 - 8:00: Eat supper at a fancy restaurant in Branson
8:00: Come back and get ready for another day full of fun!

{It felt like we were living in a book}

I'm going to the lake.
Source

It was a cloudless night, millions of stars were sparkling in the country sky.

My friends, Hannah and Becca were over that night. We live in the woods and can walk straight through the woods to the lake, and we decided that it sounded like fun to do just that - even though it was 10 at night.

For some reason, all of the flashlights seemed to be hiding, and so we went using my brothers lantern and a tiny little clock/flash light. Threw the woods we went. Now, in our woods there is a bear, so while were tromping to the lake, getting poked by blackberry thorns and ich weed, we started singing "Hey Soul Sister" by Train and other songs to keep the bear away - which we decided to call out "McNugget" if we happened upon one.

Source unknown - if known please let me know!

Now, we have reached the lake. An idea pops up into my mind - "We should go swimming!" Now, mind you, we had no plans of going swimming, we were just planning on walking to the lake. We were worried that the lake water would ruin our shorts, so we ended up swimming in our under pants and our tank tops, in the lantern light!

Of the dock we jumped in the warm night water. It felt like we were living something that people only read about in books! It was somewhat foggy out, and as we were swimming we were singing the verse "Can we pretend that airplanes in the night sky are like shooting stars?"

Favorite Skin Care Products For Teens

Being a teen can be hard on your skin - acne and break outs pop out of know where. Here are some of my favorite products that actually work!

Image: Cherry Blossom Girl

Tip: I've found that using department store pimple products almost never work.

{Products ~ order of favorite first}

I love Votre Vu! It is soft, creamy, smells great, and uses so many natural products that you can't find in department stores products. Plus, Votre Vu is a real French product. I've been using the Sensitive line and it works practically overnight!

Skin Free is a close second! I love their products, which are also natural. Skin Free also seems to work overnight and the results are great! It seems to really prevent acne and gives a nice glow to your face. I use the Niaouli Scrub for Blemish Prone Skin and then right afterward I put on on the Lite Moisture for Blemish prone skin and it works wonderfully!
Good for you Girls - Naturally Good SKin Care for Girls

Good for you Girls is also a great product! Another one that you can see it working overnight! Good for you Girls is another natural product and is made especially for tween and teen girls. It really seems to help get rid of acne. I use the Complete Kit and it works great, the only thing about it is it takes longer to put on because there are 3 things to put on in a row.

{Products I wouldn't suggest}

Melaleuca acne products. These seem to have worked after I used them for a few weeks, however, my skin got completely dried out and started peeling, and it took about probably 3 months and Skin Free moisturizer before it was back to normal! This is for sure not my favorite product!

Dear John

Have you seen Dear John?

I have and I loved it! I think the characters were cast perfectly and it was a very "sweet" movie.

What do you think of the ending? Some people can't stand it, others can't see it any other way, but for me, I would have liked it to end differently! I also loved the setting and the way they incorporated John's father into the movie.

Have you listened to this song from the movie? Amanda is such a good singer!

{Writing}

Do you write? Do you keep a diary or a journal or a book full of inspiring design pictures and quotes?

I love how when you write you can pour out everything that you can't say in real words. You can spill it all and won't worry about anyone critiquing you. And if you keep a design journal, it is so fun to look through all of your inspiring pictures and if you make a page to a certain mood, it feels so good to find just the right pictures or textures to use to suit how your feeling at the moment.

One thing that I love is beautiful journals. With back to school coming around the corner, its a perfect excuse to search for new ones!

Doily notebook

I really like this idea as well, take a simple composition notebook, cover it with scrapbook paper, cut a doily in half and add it to the front, and paint a few lines of white paint and write a saying over it! Adorable and quick!

Do you like to write? If so, what do you write in?

To me - these pictures reflect August perfectly. The wind down of Summer, soft, glowy light, but still hot and full of sundresses and Summer dreams. What do these images reflect for you?

And aren't the dresses stunning?
